On the leaf path
the shadows play
Long drawn-out pictures
on display.
Leaves flitter, soft,
flutter flies,
Then ’till spring
in dark resides.
Windy days feel torn
and tattered.
While acorn pebbles
scatter…
To the forest floor
to sleep
In darkness
deep.
And so, buried
and becoming
Till the new sun
is welcoming.
I shall lay down
on this old path
until the ancient sky
parts at last,
And grants the sun
to say,
rise and live today!
