Just a drop that fell

and mingled with assistance

made a roaring sea

and threatened all I am and

was ever meant to be.

Pretty crystal drop

held violence at its core,

formed the waves

that forced me under

and drowned me, tired, worn.

Just a drop I found,

when I awoke,

that upon a puddle splashed.

‘Twas my fear that formed the ocean

and held delusion fast.
