I cried.
Like the summer rain
In every atmospheric change.
There fell the sky.
And the earth below.
Untethered change.
This child
held the universe.
Chose inside her being
to hold the cistern full
and broken walls together.
I wept.
For endless ages lost
Swept far and beyond my powers.
The storms were delivered.
To wash the dirt.
A gardens joy.
